Zoom Gala, Saturday, October 24, 2020

Dear friends and supporters of Indiana Center for Middle East Peace,

Despite COVID quaranting and social distancing, we at ICMEP have been quite busy. From April through August, we have hosted over a dozen interviews via Zoom, attended by activists from all around the country.

This year marks the 15th anniversary of ICMEP’s first program, Spring 2005, at Plymouth Church, hosting Dr. Raed Mualem, Headmaster at Abuna Chacour’s Mar Elias Educational Institutions, Ibillin, Galilee. We had about a dozen people in attendance.

So this year at our Gala, held via Zoom on Saturday, October 24, at 7:00pm, we’ll be celebrating our 15th birthday, with a great line-up for the evening. We’ll hear from one of the most noted Jewish Israeli historians, Dr. Ilan Pappe; we’ll receive a guided tour our newest Mission Partner, the Huda al-Masri Pediatric Children’s Clinic in Beit Jala; our friend, Ronnie Malley, will provide some music, young people from Al-Rowwad Cultural Arts Center in Aida Refugee Camp, Bethlehem, will dance for us. And we’ll present our Community Bridge-Builder Award to the Muslim Alliance of Indiana. There will be an online Silent Auction throughout the week before (October 18-24), and much, much more.

A portion of every Gala Registration and Benefactor Contribution will help to support the Huda al-Masri Pediatric Cancer Clinic in Beit Jala.

For Registration information, to be a Benefactor, and other details and/or questions, check out our event listing or contact Linda Kerr at linda.kerr72@gmail.com or 260-341-2796.

In solidarity, with prayers for your continued safety and good health.

Michael
