Two Events You Won’t Want to Miss

We at ICMEP are excited to announce two events in February that we know you will find informative, fascinating, and helpful. It's our hope you'll be able to join us for both of them! Participation is free to the public.

Join us on February 10 for a conversation with mentor and friend to many, activist and leading authority on Christian Zionism, Don Wagner. Don is wrapping up a political and theological memoir of his journey from Republican politics and Christian Zionism to civil rights anti-war activism and Palestinian advocacy and liberation theology.

Don's books include: Dying in the Land of Promise: Palestinians and Palestinian Christianity from Pentecost to 2000 and Anxious for Armageddon: A Call to Partnership for Middle Eastern and Western Christians. He also is the editor for Zionism and the Quest for Justice in the Holy Land.

Then on February 17, we'll host a fantastic discussion with subversive peacenik Daphna Levit, who lives and teaches in Nova Scotia. We will be discussing her latest book, Wrestling with Zionism: Jewish Voices of Dissent, in which she discusses not only contemporaries like Gideon Levy and Ilan Pappe, but also Martin Buber, Albert Einstein, and Hannah Arendt.

Daphna is the co-author of Israeli Rejectionism: A Hidden Agenda in the Middle East Peace Process. She has also been active in several peace organizations, including Gush Shalom, B'tselem, Physicians for Human Rights, and Makhsom Watch.

You won't want to miss these fantastic activists and thinkers, so mark your calendar! Please register in advance!
