Dr. Golbarg Bashi teaches Iranian and Middle Eastern Studies at Rutgers University, specializing in human rights in the Muslim world and comparative studies of women's rights movements worldwide. Along with her academic achievements, she was nominated for a US toy industry award as Designer/Inventor at Women in Toys “Wonder Woman” Awards in 2016. Zionists have protested her critically acclaimed children’s book, P is for Palestine, published in 2017, wanting it banned from public and school libraries. Following up P is for Palestine, Dr. Bashi published Counting Up the Olive Tree: A Palestine Number Book in mid-2019.
