Jewish & Palestinian Voices for Peace

Indiana Center for Middle East Peace and Mennonite Church USA host Jewish & Palestinian Voices for Peace, Plymouth Congregational Church UCC, 501 West Berry Street, Thursday, May 11, 6:30pm
Amy Shuster, a representative of Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) Central Ohio chapter, will partner with Jonathan Kuttab, a prominent Mennonite Palestinian human rights lawyer, on this leg of a cross-country speaking tour, exploring diverse perspectives on Israel-Palestine and prospects for peace in the current political climate. Audiences will be invited to take part in a shared vision of what Palestinian Arabs and Israeli Jews needs to live free, dignified and whole lives in the land.
Amy L. Shuster is a member of Jewish Voice for Peace Central Ohio. She was born in Dayton, OH and moved around the country several times as a member of a family in the U.S. Air Force. Raised in the tradition of Reform Judaism, she has degrees from Georgetown University and Princeton University. She currently teaches at The Ohio State University, and lives in Columbus with her spouse and their five year old child.
Jonathan Kuttab is a well know international human rights attorney, activist, and speaker. He is a co-founder of the human rights group, Al-Haq, and the Mandela and Nonviolence International. He is also on the board of the Bethlehem Bible College, Holy Land Trust, and Sabeel. He is a member of the Bar Association in New York, Israel, and Palestine, and has served as a lawyer for both MCC and CPT in Palestine.
