Arab Americans have richly enhanced Fort Wayne and Allen County since their arrival in the mid-1800’s, more than 150 years. They are doctors, lawyers, business entrepreneurs, professors and teachers, restaurateurs, and industrious workers of various kinds. They come from the 22 Arab countries, from Syria, Palestine, the Gulf, North Africa, and Levant. They are Christians and Muslims and other people of good will. They number in the thousands.
We believe Arab culture is a treasure invisible to most people in the West. To celebrate the richness of Arab culture, heritage, and hospitality, Indiana Center for Middle East Peace hosts Fort Wayne’s first annual ArabFest, Saturday-Sunday, June 3-4, 2017 Headwaters Park, Rothschild Pavilion.
ArabFest is open to the entire Fort Wayne and Allen County community and beyond to enjoy a beautiful day together. Family- and children-friendly.
